5.3 is out now. The beta phase took quite a long time—almost 3 months.It is highly unlikely. Version 5.3 is still in beta, so the chances of them releasing it and immediately entering another beta are extremely low. I believe they will exit this beta in March, with the next beta release coming around September or October. This would align with the speculation that they are moving towards one annual release cycle.I think they are planning a beta release between the end of March and mid-April, if everything goes according to plan. During this period, their interface will also be released, which would make everything perfect. This update is personally one of the most important for me and will be crucial in determining whether Bitwig becomes my main DAW. I hope they deliver.
The reason it took so long might be that they needed their resources for Bitwig 6.
If the beta for Bitwig 6 is released around mid-April, the official release could happen in the summer, around July or August. Version 6.1 could then potentially follow in the fall.
But of course, this is all just speculation. In my opinion, they’re planning to release Bitwig 6 around the same time as their interface. It would make sense, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen.
