as per a regular EQ, the "Q"/"bandwidth" setting of an EQ, if set steeper and narrower will start to highlight a specific pitch in Hertz (Hz) so if it's a true parametric EQ wtih good resolution, you can boost say maybe 12 dB or more at that frequency and if there's sound there you can get it to "howl" or ring at that note. The equal tempered scale isn't spaced by mere hertz but it doesn't matter because if you get close enough to a pitch with the parametric EQ it will be close enough.
