I have written to Bitwig to please let us delete all categories and tags and therefore give the user full control over how to manage his/her own library.Yes, the custom tag system in ableton 12 is easy to use and very effective. Exactly what I suggested since a decade…. Once you organized your plugins, its super easy to make a good choice. Also a very straightforward in a simple way.
Let’s be honest: the tagging in bitwig browser is totally bananas, since most tags a predefined, even come from plugin vendors, so a total chaos, useless in my opinion, then filling a lot of selection views, so actually obfuscating the views/choices.

I ve also requested the following:
- When Saving a Preset to Library, the Dialogue should offer the list of Collections, so the user can tick each collection which should contain the new preset.
- When Saving a Preset to Library, the information whether the plugin window is open or closed should also get saved!
Also, the "live preview" on/off should have the option to be individually set and saved to the preset!!! Live preview doesn’t even have a Shortcut, and cant be turned off permanently.
-Latency free listening of Samples in Browser!
- Being able to listen to Midi files in the Browser via the currently loaded VST Instrument!
- Please give us a shortcut for “Sync to project tempo”
- Enable search within the File Browser Section
