Does this sound too clean? https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3jyo8swk ... 457o2&dl=0
OVerall:
guys i still cant figure something out, so you import a sample, at 22khz it sounds a lot of times kinda too clean for me, i dont mean the plugin itself!, i mean for Amiga, i played and listened to a lot of Amiga 500 soundtracks. sampling down gives me the more Amiga 500 sound. but i dunno how the guys worked in the past making the tracks. what kind of samplerate did they use?
It is straight from 2011 4ch mod we made with a friend. Its maxing out at 27928hz on some samples, playing from A-3 (octave 3).
The instruments that need higher quality (hz) have it, the ones that do not, dont have. Drums and Bass need them. Pads not so much, depending how much you are going to move around the hz where the sample is best. It was always a trade off.
In games - especially for A500 1MB - you only have 512KB which is taken by graphics and code too, so the game music samples were usually very low hz in some cases. Not always.
Amiga's Paula is not restricted to 8bit 22khz either, can play much higher up to 57khz also 14bit.
14-bit sample rate capabilities for AGA, ECS and OCS chipsets:
The AGA Amiga 1200, Amiga 4000, and Amiga CD32 is able to do reach 57 kHz
The ECS Amiga 500+, Amiga 600 and Amiga 3000 can max out at 28 kHz
The OCS Amiga 500, Amiga 1000 and Amiga 2000 can reach 22 kHz
