I can afford to go to Maui again, but I'm afraid I would be very upset to see Lahaina destroyed. I usually stay in Kaanapali, which is pretty close to Lahaina. I would imagine I will go there again at some point; maybe after it gets rebuilt somewhat? I read they buried the Lahaina wreckage in a big landfill "temporarily" in Olowalu, Maui, which is close to the coast. There's not much in Olowalu, but I have had good snorkeling there several times. You gotta wonder what kind of toxic material is going to end up in the ocean there.
