I think I remember Vojtech saying that Mfilter is better as an EQ than Mequalizer. It might be worth the time to to work it out. Any pointers on how to get started though? If I understand your question correctly, then it seems you could create your desired behavior in a Melda EQ using a multiparameter (perhaps in banks mode with interpolation on, if you need very specific values at certain hz positions).
Mequalizer just kept for backward compatability.
So anyway... download Melda free bundle, load up Mfilter.
At the top, click "Edit" and then click the vertical box on the right that says "multiparameters"
Choose an unnamed multiparameter, and click the three lines on the far right of the button, which should open up a box.
Click learn, and move the frequency and Q of any nodes you want to use.
Click multiparameter box again to end learning.
From here you will have a LOT of options to get to what you are looking for.
