True to an extent, but it's also easy to forget the context of the currently selected operator if you're switching from other tabs to the main as you always have to decode where your operator is in the algo to give better overview of where in the algo an operator is. By having a selection hint, you would just look at the highlight color to better understand what you're editing.In the current GUI it's very easy to tell what operator is active
I consider this only a quality of life improvement, it's not show stopper, it's not unintuitive as it is now, it's just something that popped on my mind while editing extensively as something worth at least thinking about.
