Roland Cloud does not require a membership and in fact a lot of users prefer to purchase the plug-ins out right instead of the membership model and we don't mind that at all! We are a small team and took some time last year to update some old instruments and working on some new projects. we are currently working on some new releases for everyoneThat's subscription economics at work.
Why spend the money to develop new products when you're getting paid whether you do or not.
Universal Audio has recently figured that out too..
