If you haven't already, and really it's a no-brainer, but consider spending some money on drive backups and maybe a battery UPS device.
I'm busy reinstalling software after a 1 second power drop this morning fried my SSD. The PC was plugged into a surge suppressor (Furman rack) but that didn't matter.
After many hours of working with the drive in an external USB box, I managed to pull my song files and much of my personal data off the drive (PHEW!). But I am still left with reinstalling software, registration, and attempting to clear all the old registrations from the no-longer accessible one.
It indeed would have been smarter to just spend a bit on some protections. After over 25 years, it finally caught up with me.![D'oh! :dog:]()
